I love that calm can mean life. I love that calm can mean something amazing is nearby. Signs of life don't have to be craziness and chaos. Quiet, calm, powerful, majestic life. That's what I want.
Do you ever think about what you think about? Our thoughts may be more important than we realize. They direct our actions, our moods, our emotions. I'm working on consciously thinking more on things that are good and true and holy and honorable. Things that are pure and lovely and gracious and kind and excellent. Phil 4:8. If you look for things of beauty and wonder in your every day life, that is what you will find.

Signs of Life
The above picture is a fluke print. If you know to look for it, it's the sign that a whale was recently in the area. It is like a footprint, and it's left by the powerful upstroke of a whale's tail when it is near the surface. A little circle of calm water in an ocean of waves and swells. It's a sign that something really big is nearby. It's a sign of life.
